Waste Bin Tracking. The Department of Solid Waste & Environmental Program Management is comprised of a 266-personnel team. They providing environmentally safe, time responsive, and cost-effective collection, disposal, and recycling services. Done for nearly 90,000 residential and commercial customers in the City of Tampa.

With tens of thousands of Assets (primarily Bins) spread across three locations. The department needed a better process, enter Silent Partner Technologies.  What once took the department days to complete their inventory counts across multiple locations now takes minutes.  Furthermore, they can also use the seeker application to potentially find a specific Bin. You simply select the Bin you’re looking for, and its similar to a “Geiger counter”. As you get closer and closer to the Bin, you’ll get both an audible and visual aid to guide you to that specific Bin.

The next steps will be moving into the servicing of assets and inventory management of consumables—such as paint, cleaners, and other parts/materials used for repairs. The system has dramatically improved the overall process—most importantly the counting of Assets.
