IntelliView 2018.1.0 for iOS. For our first major release of 2018 we’ve added support for the CS108 Sled Handheld Reader from Convergence Systems Limited (CSL). This new rugged reader from CSL sports a full 30dB of output power and a large antenna (circular or linearly polarized) giving it excellent read range. This is also the first reader supported by IntelliView that uses Bluetooth Low Energy for communication with the host device. This has the advantage of making the connection process much simpler and faster. The standby battery life is excellent. In our bench testing the unit lasted for several days in the on-but-unconnected state. Additionally, the CS108 includes a 2D barcode imaging unit, a unique, spring-loaded phone clip that works better than any we’ve used so far, a 1/4-20 mount at the bottom of the handle, and a USB-C connector for charging and firmware updates.
IntelliView for iOS 2018.1.0 also fixes a connection issue some users were experiencing with the Zebra handheld unit, adds support for the secondary tag ID feature that was recently added to the IntelliView web application, moves the password storage to the iOS keychain to increase security.
