Ephrata Fire Company
Ephrata Pioneer Steam Fire Engine Company is one of the oldest and most well-renowned fire stations in Lancaster County, Pennsylvania. Some part of its history is lost, but what persists is quite interesting. The fire station first helped in a fire mission during the late 1700s. At that time, the fire was recorded when foes of the Seventh Day Baptist (also called the historic Ephrata Cloister) tried to destroy the buildings by burning down properties. However, the fire engine company helped in controlling the fire with two massive freshwater springs on the site. Now the oldest fire station still helps in several fire missions across Pennsylvania. Today, Ephrata Fire Company is utilizing advanced technology, like Silent Partner’s RFID solution – IntelliView application.
Before implementing RFID technology, Ephrata inventory was completely manual which of-course was time consuming and prone to errors. However, moving forward and with the introduction of Silent Partners RFID Technology—things are about to change for the better. What used to take weeks will now be more like hours! The difference between manual or barcode as compared to RFID is simple, with the older methods, you’re reading items one at a time—with RFID you can read hundreds of tags PER SECOND!
Ephrata Fire is thrilled to take a major leap forward in how they account for Assets, and we at Silent Partner are happy to have been selected as their partner to take to the next level in technology.
We look forward to a long and fruitful relationship.
